IT Systems Integrator Supports the E-Health Act Requirements
Topics included the sensitive subject of connecting medical practices to the health network, digital consultation hours with strong encryption for communication between a doctor and patient, and the growing digitization of health care.
Via a network of on-site certified service providers, a healthcare practice’s computer system can get connected to the network in a maximum of two hours - without paralyzing current business activity. Concat provides the required legally certified components and services via the partner network from a single source. For the certification and support of the partners, Concat set up and qualified their personnel in sales, engineering, and support. The first Concat-affiliated doctor's office in Hesse will go online during the first quarter of 2018.
In a demonstration, Stefan Grüttner, Dr. Michael Meister, and Rolf Richter experienced first-hand how doctors and patients can safely exchange sensitive data. Whether X-ray image, diagnosis or digital visit with video support, information exchange takes place with Encryption-as-a-Service by Identos. After secure identification clearance, there is robust encryption on both sides.
"I am glad we accepted the invitation from Concat,” said Minister of Health Stefan Grüttner, “The encryption technology shown focused on our top priority, the safety of patient data. We support telemedicine from the stateside with six million euros a year because it is an important bridge to support our rural areas. For example, local sisters could switch on a computer for a video home visit with a general practitioner bringing high-quality care directly to the patient's home.”
The meeting ended with all attendees, the Hessian Minister of Health Stefan Grüttner, Dr. Michael Meister and Bensheim Mayor Rolf Richter well-informed about the healthcare activities of Concat AG.
